Concert Violinist
Born in Banjaluka Bosnia and Herzegovina at the age of 18 has
found her artistic home in the “center of classical music” –
Vienna, Austria. Praised for honesty, integrity, versatility,
imagination, depth and dedication in her approach to music and
her musical interpretations, she is wholeheartedly exploring a
diversity of musical languages, styles, genres, and ideas to
bring the art of music closer to the broader audiences and
make it accessible to everyone.
Jovana started playing the violin at the age of 6 and already
from the age of 8 started wining competitions in Bosnia,
Serbia, Germany, Italy, etc.meanwhile winning on children’s
pop song-contests across Europe and representing Bosnia and
Herzegowina worldwide.
By the age of 18, she already had numerous prizes at
international violin competitions and solo performances with
orchestras. She was awarded the 'The most successful Young
Artist' of the country by the president of Bosnia and
Herzegovina and was a children’s ambassador for UNICEF. Her
passion, hard work and determination brought her to Austria,
the center of classical music and home of many great composers
where she performed as a soloist in Musikverein at the age of
17 and later on got accepted and graduated “Cum Laude” at the
most prestigious music university in Vienna as a concert
violinist with Prof. Christian Altenburger and has continued
to perform as a soloist with symphony orchestra all over
Europe such as:
Lappenranta Symphony orchestra (Finland), Karlove Vary
Symphony orchestra (Czech republic), Savaria Symphonyorchestra
(Hungary ), Symphony Orchestra Venice (Italy), Banja Luka
Philharmonic (Bosnia) amongst others. She has been invited as
a Concertmaster of various Symphony orchestras and ensembles
and has performed in over 30 countries worlwide with an
upcoming tour as a soloist and a concertmaster in Japan.
Next to being a soloist and a concertmaster, she is an avid
chamber music player blending all kinds of combinations of
instruments in various styles of music, be it: classical
string quartett, quintett, trio or entirely different tango
ensembles featuring instruments such as bandoneon, saxophone,
piano etc. Her latest project has been named “ Four Seasons”
where her artistic sensibility combined tango and jazz,; both
violin and voice and in such a delicate, yet, powerful way
leaving the audience completely enchanted.
